The cards give everyone a shared objective. You never have to invent a reason to talk. The conversation starts naturally, because it’s built into the game.

How it works (Don’t worry, it’s easy!)
1. You open a sealed, mystery gift card at check-in
2. You move around naturally and see what cards other people have
3. If you like someone’s card more than yours, you can offer to trade
Everyone trades their starting card, and whatever card you’re holding at the end is yours to keep.
Good to know
The gift cards are to real, local businesses around the city. There are no pitches, memberships, or sign-ups during the event.

It’s open to anyone who wants a casual, low-pressure way to spend a Saturday, including:

Important Notes
Doors and bar open at 3:00pm
Gift cards are assigned randomly at check-in. Special cards are limited and randomly distributed
Not all gift cards are physical. Some will be delivered digitally by email after the event
Each ticket includes two drink tickets. Additional drinks will not be available for purchase, but trading is encouraged
No food will be provided. Please eat beforehand
The event ends at 6:00pm and the venue closes at that time
If possible, please bring clean indoor shoes to change into
There is no dress code. Wear whatever you are comfortable in

1. Is this a dating event?
No. This is a gift card trading game. People come to play, trade, and enjoy the afternoon.
2. Can I come alone?
Yes. Solo attendees are very welcome, and many people attend on their own.
3. Do I have to trade my starting gift card?
Yes. Everyone is randomly assigned a gift card at check-in and must trade their initial card at least once. You can only keep a card that is different from the one you started with.
4. What kind of gift cards are included?
Most cards are valued at $25 and include a mix of local and popular options. A small number of special cards have different values or rules.
5. What are special cards?
Special cards are limited and randomly assigned. Some may have different values or chance-based outcomes.
6. Will I definitely leave with a gift card?
Everyone starts with a gift card, but the final value depends on the card you end up with, especially if you choose to hold or trade a special card.
7. Do I have to drink alcohol?
No. Non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails will be available, although options may be limited.
8. What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be provided if you cancel at least one week before the event. After that, tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to someone else.
